In the heart of our State, the local Tri-Cities car scene is more than just automobile enthusiasts. I’ve come to find a thriving creative community that is as much about the people as it is about the cars. This is where it gets even better, at the center of the car scene are an impressive collection of local creatives, AKA photographers.

These individuals, armed with their cameras and a keen eye for detail are transforming the local car scene into a work of art.

From capturing moments on the track to the outward expressions some local car owners have, their work is as diverse as the cars they photograph.

It's not just about the cars themselves, it's about the people, the stories, the connections. It's about the old-timers sharing tales of vintage models they've restored, the excitement of car shows, the friendly rivalry of race days, and the quiet, shared moments of friends working together on a beloved project in a garage. The hours, the blood, the sweat and tears, these are the untold stories are in these photos.

Each with it's own story, every car is a testament to their owner's dedication & personality. Creating the narrative that speaks to the soul of the car and its owner through a lens.

The next time you find yourself in the Tri-cities, why not take a moment to appreciate the local car scene and the talented photographers that help bring it to life? They add a new layer of depth to our town's character, helping paint a vivid picture of life in the Tri-Cities. A community that surrounds this shared love for automobiles, in a place we call home. If you're a car enthusiast or simply appreciate great photography, check out their work!

Welcome! I'm Jesus Maldonado, the photographer behind the camera here at Portrait Plus, proudly serving the Tri-Cities, the place I call home. Photography for me is more than just a profession, it's a journey of creativity and self-expression.

My journey behind the lens began post-pandemic, as I sought new outlets for my artistic passions outside of painting and music. Photography quickly became a new form of self expression, offering a unique way to cement core memories and capture professional milestones for the people of our community. It's exciting to see the joy and confidence my clients experience when they see themselves through my lens.

With over 5 years of experience in photography, every shoot has been an adventure, and I'm excited every day to discover where this path will take me next. My approach to photography centers around creating a dynamic, creative environment. Each photo is more than just a result of a project, it's a memory, an experience, a story captured in time.

In a world with many photographers to choose from, my focus at Portrait Plus is not just on delivering quality images but also on providing nothing less than exceptional customer service. I believe in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for my clients, one that makes taking pictures feel less like a chore and more like a fun, rewarding experience.

In the realm of portrait photography, conveying emotion is as essential as the technical aspects of the craft. This was beautifully demonstrated in a recent photo session set against the serene backdrop in Columbia Park. The subject became the centerpiece of a series of moody and evocative photographs, each telling its own silent story.

For photographers, especially those in Kennewick, this session serves as a reminder of the importance of capturing the essence of a moment. It's about seeing beyond the surface, capturing the moment, and using the camera to reveal the unspoken narratives hidden in plain sight :)

In a recent portrait session, the vibrant pulse of the city met with a dynamic spirit, creating a series of images rich in character and urban elegance. This shoot, an exciting blend of fashion and cityscape, highlighted the subject's diverse style against the backdrop of Washington's versatile environments.

Each outfit, a new expression of her persona, seamlessly integrated with the unique elements of the urban setting. From chic to bold, every look captured not just her fashion sense but also the essence of the city's diverse character.
The interplay of light, architecture, and spontaneous city life added layers to each photograph, making the session not just a collection of portraits but a narrative of urban sophistication. This series is a testament to the power of portrait photography in urban landscapes, where the energy of the subject and the city combine to create compelling, story-rich images.
